Pre-Spring Car Care Tips!

Spring is here!! The list below contains easy tips on how to prepare your vehicle for the rising temperatures. Tips are also available daily on the Auto-Lab Facebook and Twitter pages.

Check the Tires – It’s crucial to check your tires after significant weather changes and at least once monthly. Tire
pressure changes 1 psi for every 10 degrees Fahrenheit change in temperature.

Undercarriage Road Salt – Road salt can damage your vehicle’s undercarriage by eating away and corroding the metal. A thorough cleaning at a car wash will get your car clean and ward against any substantial damage.

Check Radiator and Gas Caps – Tight fitting caps on the radiator and gas caps are important. Radiator caps can corrode and deteriorate, so it is a good idea to replace yours as often as you flush the cooling system.

Flush and Fill Cooling System – We recommend flushing every 2 years on most vehicles for added insurance against engine failure.
